Birthday and fall fun

This past weekend was Lucas' birthday and our friends annual fall fest party. We had celebrated his birthday previously in the week this was just the icing on the cake. It started out with a hayride of which he got tossed and stuffed with hay head to toe. After a few games everyone sang happy birthday to him then came...of course...the birthday spankin's you know 12 now..:) Not real ones mind you but it was fun embarrassing him at any rate not that he was in the least bit he thought it was hilarious.

You know your the baby when...

You get this for your birthday and your daddy searches the internet for it. After finding one on Craig's list goes out and buys it at 9:30 at night the night before your birthday. Yes little Romeo made out like a bandit this year thanx to his papa.

As you can see from the picture he was a little shocked by it all he was very excited to say the least. It has a squirt gun on the side and boy is he having fun with that. Pumping it up and chasing his brothers spraying them in the process. Yes indeedy they are all having a lot of fun with it.
I couldn't get him to stop for a picture he was so excited to drive it. Thanx to all who came and made his birthday special!!

My baby is FOUR today...

Happy Birthday to my sweet baby I can't believe that he's already four. Looking back at these pictures makes me sad they grow up so fast! This top picture Roman is around 2 weeks old.

Here's a few pictures of the last few weeks. Kaleb turned eight this month and here he is with his special chocolate cake I made for him. It's a homemade chocolate cake that is just awesome. I make it with dutch cocoa and mmmmm is it ever good. Perfect for my sweet tooth little guy:)
Here is Roman wearing his new special fishing hat. On Friday's when my boys are taking classes Roman and I browse our local mall. We eat a bagel, play at the play area and then hit the clearance racks. Well this past Friday he spotted this hat in the window at the children's place and he just had to have it. He is such a hat kid he loves them. Normally I don't give in to begging from my kids but he was just to cute and it was only 6.00. He said "please mommy I need it to go fishing with grandpa socks" just to darn cute how could I say no. He hardly takes it off so it was well worth the 6 bucks.
Yes here we have my little strawberry banana lip balm boy. I know the pic is blurry but I had to get close so you could see how much he really had on. His lips were lets just say very glossy with globs of "chapchips" around them.

Happy Birthday Lucas!!!

Today my oldest turns 11 and in a way it saddens me so to think he's this old already. We had his party on Tuesday night since he has basketball practice tonight. Which is why I've already got pic's of him with his "cake". He wanted pie this year instead of cake which he does most years. I always give the kids the choice of pies or cake for dessert and then they get to pick what we have for dinner that night. I also only had seven candles for him to blow out he didn't mind at all though. He's having a sleepover tomorrow night with four friends which he's very excited about. He got his presents on Tues. he got a professional art kit from my parents which he's been working with the past two days. Sometime I'll post some of his artwork he's quite good. He also got an mp3 player from his other grandparents, some coins to add to his collection and a Bible and transformer from us. We intend to buy him a new bike as his big gift but have yet to find a good deal on one. He's fine with waiting for the good deal..what a great kid!! I'm so proud of him and the little boy er little man he's become!!

This is the Bible we got him it took me a long time to find the one he wanted. He wanted his Bible to have certain things it that took me awhile to find all of them in one Bible. Can you tell by the look on his face that he was just estactic with it. He said it was his favorite gift he's been reading it and using it a lot the past two days. It's something he can take with him when he leaves home someday and bring into his own home. He's owned plenty of his own Bibles don't get me wrong but this was a special Bible he's been asking for. Now I'm going to list 11 things you might not know about Lucas.

1. He loves the Lord and strives to serve him everyday
2. His favorite sports are basketball and golf.
3. He likes school and does quite well at it.
4. He's a very kind hearted child.
5. He's one of the most generous people I know.
6. He's always laughing or giggling about something.
7. He loves to entertain people.
8. He's a dare devil yet with a slightly cautious side he'll at least think about the possibility of getting hurt before he just does something.
9. He's got a creative mind most people would wish for.
10. He's very good at art.
11. He's a mama's boy..shhh don't ever tell I posted that online.:)

Ben's favorite cake..

This is my hubby's favorite cake in all the world. It's called Chocolate Chiffon cake and it's a beauty. His dear grandma made it for him for his birthday when he was 10 and it's been his favorite ever since. It's quite a chore to make so I've never attempted to make it quite frankly it scared me to even try. I decided this year it's about time I learn how since it is a great cake plus his favorite. One day his grandma came over and we made one together (thank you again grandma). Today I was all on my own it didn't turn out near as pretty as his grandma's but I'm hoping it tastes the same. It sure smelled good coming out of the oven today. I'm quite proud of the fact it looks similar to her cake and boy I can't wait to cut it. Benny worked late yesterday and today so this is why I didn't make the cake until today. He's on his way home now and I can't wait for him to try a piece:)

Happy Birthday to my hubby!!

My dear husband and best friend turns 31 today! I love him so much and pray the Lord gives me many more years with him. This picture was taken a couple years ago on our 10th anniversary. We were at a mexican restaurant celebrating and these hats were on the wall. We asked if we could try them on and they let us so here is our pic from that day! I thought it was a good picture of my hubby. Were a bit red from boating all day but we had such a fun day and memorable anniversary.

Happy Anniversary...

Today we celebrate our 12th anniversary and I'm so proud to be called his wife. I love him dearly and pray the Lord will grant us many more to come!!

Romans Birthday party...

Roman blowing out his birthday candles as you can see he had a little difficulty with the last one. Dad ended up helping him at his request. He waited all day for that cake after he saw me make it.


This car after you shake it makes a bunch of noise and sirens and then takes off on it's own. He thought it was so funny and today it's his favorite toy to run along with tile in the kitchen.


This is the scooter we got him he loved going up and down the driveway on it with his brothers. It kept him busy for awhile.


And of course what's a birthday for Roman without a curious George doll. My parents got him this and it is really cute. George tumbles which Roman thought was great he took him to bed with him and came out toting him this morning.

This is a bug he found at the park the other night and was playing with it a good while. He was just fascinated by it.

My baby turns three today I just can't believe he's that old already. Here are a few things about Roman you may or may not know already.

1. His full name is Roman David
2. He loves his mama dearly but is mostly a daddy's boy.
3. He loves to be read to.
4. He is kind of a wild man no fear type thing.
5. He loves to boat and go fast and loves the water.
6. He's always trying to keep up with his brothers and wants to do whatever they do.
7. His favorite thing to do outside is "play golf course" as he calls it. Basically just hitting golf balls in the yard he'll do this for hours.
8. He is busy busy busy and never rests until it's time for bed.
9. Did I mention that he's busy
10. He loves curious George anything to do with him but especially the show. We thinks it's because they have so much in common:)
11. He is very curious and sometimes it gets him in trouble.
12. He has a very sweet natured personality and for the most part is always happy and smiling.
13. He was born on his due date bless him the other two were 10 and 11 days late.
14. He loves animals especially dogs and his favorite place to go is the zoo.

Life at 30++++

Well over the weekend I turned 31 crazy I can't believe I'm that old already time just flies the older you get. I went out to breakfast on Friday morning with friends and family it was a great way to start my birthday. Sat. was my actual birthday and I went out with friends for dinner and then to hear some good ol' 80's music it was a lot of fun. Today I made chocolate chip cookies..yummy..I haven't made cookies in months so they tasted so good today. Since our health kick I haven't been making cookies and such but I broke down today. I think I ate almost a dozen today...oops..but they were oh so good. I used to make cookies once a week or so I don't like to buy them when their so much healthier to make them. I figure if I'm going to eat junk food I might as well bake it at home it's a little better for you at least plus I love love to bake. Maybe it was comfort food for turning 31 hahahaha just kidding I really don't mind getting older at all. Life is better the older I get course if it starts to get bad maybe I won't like getting older. Alright now I'm rambling so I'm signing off. Lucas had the flu today so pray my other boys don't get it...I bleached my entire house down so Lord willing we'll all be fine.

My little Kaleb is 7

Well our sweet little Kaleb turned seven yesterday and what a fun filled day we had. First we started out at breakfast with our grandpa and grandma. Then we headed off to the huge park by our house with cousins shacky, Lula and Biggie what fun they all had. At night all the grandparents and a few aunts and uncles came over so it was great fun and he got wayyyy to many presents as usual. So today is raining outside and a great day to declutter the toy box...I love it!! By the way thanx Shacky for the rubber band gun mom's already been shot once by it on accident of course but...ouch..that hurt:) So in honor of my little boy I thought I would list some things about him for those that don't know him to well or those that do and might find these funny or interesting.

1. He's named after my dad and my brother who passed away.
2. He's tall for his age and almost as big as his older brother.
3. He's very competitive to say the least he's better than everybody at anything..type thing..
4. He's very athletic and loves sports his favorites are football and basketball
5. At two he would play basketball on a little tyke hoop and make a good portion of them.
6. He looks like his mama.
7. He loves babies and loves to hold them.. he thinks I need to get preggo so he can have a sister he informs me of this daily.
8. He's very active and loves to be outside all the time even in rain or freezing snow etc.
9. He is my cuddle bug he loves to curl up on our lap still he's my affectionate child always has a hug and kiss for his mama.
10. He always is getting the raw end of the deal...he thinks...I was like this to as a child must be the middle child thing..:)
11. His favorite bible story is David and Goliath
12. When he gets older he first wanted to be a giant, then a boss now he's decided on a Chiropractor so he can help people to sweet.
13. He is my sweetheart and the first to see if someones ok if their hurt and comfort them.
14. When he's hurt the world knows no matter if it's a "bleeding owie" as he says or not a band-aid is always needed.
15. He's quite focused when it comes to doing his schoolwork which is surprising to most people and a very good student.
16. He's always more than ready to help in the house with jobs and usually has a good attitude about it.

So theirs my 16 list of thing's about Kaleb I love him so much and pray the Lord gives us many more years with him.
